Ovviamente... in English!
Our second year Scientific High School students have been studying cell division, specifically the process of mitosis. Mitosis is a process in which a cell makes an identical duplicate of itself and all of its parts. This process includes 6 phases of division (interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase and lastly cytokinesis). Today we put our students to the test of modeling each of the phases using some delicious materials…oreo cookies to represent the cell (with the cream acting as cytoplasm) and sprinkles (representing the chromotin, chromotids and chromosomes). Take a look at their results.
